HOW IT STARTED
It took our Founder/CEO Kyle Doerksen 8 years of tinkering, lots of coffee, and a handful of prototypes, but by the end of 2013, Kyle had created a riding experience so beautiful folks could hardly believe it. Kyle quit his day job, hired a team of like-minded individuals, launched Onewheel and has been helping to bring thousands of riders pure-joy moments ever since.

We know that in order to create great riding machines we need to live the life and inspire others to do the same. For that reason we have based or HQ in sunny Santa Cruz, California. Nestled between redwood forests and pumping surf, our home in Santa Cruz provides endless inspiration and the ultimate testing grounds.

Onewheel Pint - How To Explore Your City
The whole world opens up to you on Onewheel. It's one thing to say it, but to feel it and experience the level of freedom you have on Pint is entirely different. We decided to document a day exploring San Francisco on Pint from our perspective to give you a sense of how empowering and flat out fun it is. You will rediscover your city riding Pint. We talk about it a lot, but as someone who has ridden countless miles of Onewheels (most of those for work I might add), it's just a fact. We've been to SF a ton of times, but on Pint, you notice the sloped driveways, the corner cafe you always drive by, and the tucked-away trail that takes you somewhere new. It's all out there if you keep your eyes open, and having a board that can take you anywhere is like having an urban superpower. I'm still in awe how this little ripper moves you through the world with such fluidity - and that it costs less than your smartphone. Pint is rad in that it's easy to take anywhere - cafe, bus, train, uber, sure. It's also sooooo maneuverable and playful, which makes urban riding an absolute joy. It also punches way above its weight class (case in point, towing a skater up a hill.
